Rebranding “Klinikum Ebersberg”

For one of their new awareness campaigns, a fresh and modern logo was needed. The old logo struggled with readability and lacked strong recognition. With the new design, the name change from “Kreisklinik Ebersberg” to “Klinikum Ebersberg – München Ost” also had to be incorporated.

The challenge: the updated name was too long for most traditional logo formats. To solve this, I designed a three-line logo. However, I didn’t want it to look like just a block of text. To bring more meaning and visual flow, I aligned the words “Ebersberg” and “München Ost” with their respective cardinal directions. As a result, “München Ost” naturally sits in the “east” of the logo.

In addition, I developed variations of the logo for the different departments, ensuring consistency while allowing flexibility for each division.
